Wuxi Holset Exhaust Gas Turbocharger Series

A Cummins turbocharger is essentially an air compressor that increases the intake air volume by compressing air. It utilizes the inertial impulse of the exhaust gases from the engine to drive a turbine in the turbine housing. This turbine, in turn, drives a coaxial impeller which compresses the air coming from the air filter intake pipe, forcing this pressurized air into the engine cylinders. As the engine speed increases, the exhaust gas velocity and turbine speed also rise synchronously, allowing the impeller to compress more air into the cylinders. The increased air pressure and density enable the combustion of more fuel. By correspondingly increasing the fuel quantity and adjusting the engine speed, the engine's output power can be enhanced.

Features

● Utilizes a small wheel diameter, resulting in a compact structural size, high pressure ratio, and a wide flow range. This effectively reduces the engine's exhaust temperature, improves emission conditions, and enhances reliability. It can meet the demands of high-power engines and the matching requirements for engines operating at high altitudes.

Advantages

● Increases engine power density. Without changing the engine's displacement, it can increase air intake density, allowing the engine to inject more fuel, thereby boosting engine power. Engines equipped with turbochargers see an increase in power and torque of 20% to 30%. Conversely, for the same power output requirement, it allows for a reduction in engine cylinder bore, thereby decreasing the engine's overall size and weight.

● Improves engine emissions. Turbocharged engines enhance combustion efficiency, reducing the emission of harmful components such as particulates and nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the exhaust. It is an essential configuration for diesel engines to meet emission standards equivalent to Euro II and above.

● Provides altitude compensation. In high-altitude regions, where air density decreases with increasing altitude, engines equipped with turbochargers can counteract the power loss typically experienced due to thin air.

● Enhances fuel economy and reduces fuel consumption. Due to superior combustion performance, turbocharged engines can achieve fuel savings of 3% to 5%. Same process.
