1, diesel engine running on insufficient oil, will be due to the friction side surface oil supply is insufficient, will lead to abnormal wear or combustion. In the diesel generator before starting and diesel engine operation process, must ensure that the oil is sufficient to prevent the lack of oil caused by the cylinder pulling and tile burning failure.

2, in the sudden unloading after or with load immediately stop, diesel engine generator cooling water circulation in the flameout stop, diesel engine cooling capacity drops sharply, the loss of cooling of heated parts, easy to lead to the cylinder head, cylinder liner, cylinder block and other parts overheating, cracks in the parts, or over-expansion of the piston jammed in the cylinder liner.

When the diesel generator stops working without idling to cool down, the friction surface will not contain enough oil, and when the Cummins diesel engine starts up again, it will aggravate the back and forth wear and tear of the parts due to poor oil lubrication. The diesel generator should be removed before turning off the engine, and gradually reduce the speed of the Cummins generator set, running at no load for a few minutes (no-load operation takes 3 minutes).

3, after cold start, the engine is running under load without heating. Diesel generator cold start, due to the high viscosity of the oil pump, poor fluidity, the engine oil pump oil supply is insufficient, due to lack of oil and the friction surface caused by severe lubrication, resulting in large wear and tear, and even pull out the cylinder, burning tile and other failures. Diesel engine in the cool start should be kept at idle operating temperature, waiting for the oil temperature above 40 ℃ (winter cooling water to reach 60 ℃ when) load operation; the machine should be started with a low-speed gear, and in each gear position for a period of time until the oil temperature is normal, the fuel supply is sufficient to increase the throttle and other actions.

4, the diesel engine cold start, the throttle is violently bombarded. If the throttle is bombarded violently, the diesel generator speed will rise sharply resulting in some friction surfaces on the engine due to dry friction and intense wear. When the throttle bombardment, the piston, connecting rod and crankshaft bearing force has changed a lot, resulting in serious impact is easy to damage the internal parts of the machine.

5, when the cooling water is insufficient or the cooling water and oil temperature is too high, the cooling water of the diesel generator will reduce its cooling effect, the diesel engine can not be effectively cooled and overheating; cooling water and oil oil temperature is too high, will also lead to diesel engine overheating.

Diesel generator cylinder head, cylinder liner, piston assembly and valve mainly to withstand a large thermal load, its strength and toughness and other mechanical properties reduce the deformation of the parts, reducing the fit clearance between the parts, accelerating the wear and tear of the parts, serious cracks and jamming failure. Diesel generator overheating will also deteriorate the combustion process of the diesel engine, so that the injector operation is not normal, the atomization is serious will lead to increased carbon deposits.
